To the Editor:

Thank you for donations during the Labor Day Parade! Your food donations filled the backs of two pickup trucks. Those items are already on the shelves and making a difference in your community. Your generous cash donations of almost $2,000 will help us purchase the items we need to buy on a weekly basis: meat, milk, butter, eggs, etc.

To the members of the Newtown Labor Day Parade Committee — thank you for another fantastic parade.

A huge thank you goes to the Newtown High School Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity Soccer Teams for helping us collect donations along the parade route. We could not have done this without you.

Thank you to the many FAITH volunteers and friends that helped us on parade day. Your ongoing dedication to our food pantry is what FAITH is all about.

Matt Iseppi and Hank Krell — thank you for donating and driving your trucks and for helping us unload all the food at the end of the parade!

And lastly, to The Newtown Bee and to the Smith and Baggett families, we at FAITH cannot thank you enough for your continuing support. You make such a difference in the community that we are all proud to be part of.
