Carol Meade Donahue, age 85, of Newtown, Connecticut passed away at her home on September 2, 2026. She was born on April 12, 1941, in Danbury Connecticut to parents Angeline Casario Snopkowski and stepfather John Snopkowski.

Carol attended Bethel public schools and graduated from Bethel High School in 1959. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Vogue magazine, Sikorsky Aircraft and Ethan Allen Corporation. Later in life she worked in interior design.

Carol married the love of her life Patrick in September 1962 and bought their home in Newtown in 1965 where they raised their family and shared many wonderful years together. She loved music, shopping and interior decorating. She and Pat created many happy memories at their home away from home in Cape Cod.

She was predeceased by her mother Angeline and stepfather John. She is survived by her loving husband Patrick of 64 years, daughter Kelley and son in law Jeff of Danbury, sister Sandra Grandon of Danbury and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown, CT on Thursday September 10 at 10:30 AM. Calling hours will be on Wednesday September 9 from 4:00 - 7:00PM at Honan Funeral Home in Newtown.
