One Can Indeed Make A Difference

To the Editor:

On behalf of Newtowners in need, a heartfelt thanks to Breanne Lubinsky for her generosity and efforts in collecting food and many for FAITH food pantry.

Together with Emily Rowe, Girl Scout, and Boy Scout Troop 270 volunteers and their parents, Breanne collected 2,455 food items, $195 in cash and many Big Y tokens and gift cards, all of which began being distributed to those in need on Tuesday, September 2.

Breanne’s work on September 1 was the culmination of a summer’s work; she met with me in August to understand the operations of the food pantry and to see how she could best help. Her original idea — collecting food at a parade — was a successful one indeed.

Breanne, you have truly proven that “I Can Make A Difference.”
