Members of Waterbury Symphony Orchestra will return to Edmond Town Hall this year for the next local performance in WSO’s “Music in Great Spaces” series.

The concert is planned for Sunday, November 5, at 4 pm, at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.

The program is billed as “Eight Seasons.” It will feature performances of Antonio Vivaldi’s beloved The Four Seasons, which has brought joy to audiences for nearly three centuries, paired with Astor Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, a more contemporary take on changeable weather in the southern hemisphere.

Members of Waterbury Symphony Orchestra will perform, with Maestro Leif Bjaland conducting.

Friends of Newtown Seniors (FONS) is also planning to host a pre-concert Meet & Greet reception.

General admission concert tickets are $45 per person, and are on sale through waterburysymphony.org. Additional information is available at 203-346-2000 or info@waterburysymphony.org.

Senior Discount Offer

Readers age 55 and over who would like to take advantage of a senior discount being arranged through FONS should contact Frank Monette, at monettes@comcast.net, by September 30. Depending on the number of requests received for the discount, according to Monette, the discount will be between 20-30 percent off the ticket price. The discount will be determined in early October.

Those who have sent an email to Monette before then will receive instructions on how to then contact the WSO box office to purchase their tickets at the lower rate.
