The Shamrock Traditional Irish Music Society will present Gailfean, a new supergroup featuring John Whelan, Brian Conway and Don Penzien, at Newtown Meeting House.

The performance is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, beginning at 8 pm. Requested donation is $20 for adults, $5 for children.

Button accordion player Mr Whelan is a seven-time all-Ireland champion and former Irish Echo Artist of the Year, fiddler Conway is an All-Ireland Champion and Smithsonian recording artist, and Penzien is an acclaimed guitar player. The Newtown show will be the trio’s Connecticut debut.
