Occupation: My daughter jokingly calls me a one woman spa! I am a skin care specialist, electrologist, I give relaxing spa pedicures, and I perform therapeutic massages. I spent most of my career working for Elizabeth Arden and The Red Door in Saks 5th Ave in New York. I have been an esthetician for 20 years and now I am also a licensed massage therapist.

Family: I am the extremely proud mother of my 15-year-old daughter named Giulia. She is beautiful and brilliant and the joy of my life.

Pets: We have one cat named Goddess Hestia. About three years ago I went to the animal shelter with the intent to adopt a cat that my daughter chose online. That cat would not come out of the cat house. I sat on the floor to coax her out and Goddess climbed up my back and started playing with my hair as if to say “Take me.” I did and she is the most wonderful and affectionate pet I’ve ever had.

How long have you lived in Newtown? I am new to Newtown but I’m so comfortable I feel like I’ve been here for a very long time. I opened my day spa above Robert Anthony’s Salon on February 1st of 2022. The family that owns the salon has embraced me as a friend and continues to help nurture my business. The Newtown community has also been extremely welcoming and supportive. Being a part of Newtown has been a wonderful experience. It’s been a pleasure meeting so many interesting people here.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? My grandma because she was my best friend and I miss her dearly. If you mean someone living, then it would be Martha Stewart. Love her!

Who is your favorite musical artist? I can’t decide on one particular artist. I enjoy almost all types of music.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? Grow where you are planted.

What is something you cannot live without? I cannot live without my car. I’m always on the go.

What is your proudest accomplishment? I became fluent in Italian as an adult.

What is a meal/recipe your family has passed down to you? My grandmother taught me how to cook “Southern Cuisine.” She migrated north from her home in South Carolina.

What is a tradition your family does that is important to you? Going to church and having dinner together on Easter Sunday.

What would you like The Newtown Bee to cover in the future? The Bee should feature women business owners if they have not already done so.
