Rising Star Summer Champs Crowned

North Carolina defeated Villanova 59-42 to capture the Rising Star Summer Basketball League championship at Treadwell Park on September 10. Steven Walsh, Chase Wurtz, and Matt White were the leading scorers for NC. Jim Parker had a very good overall game with key baskets, assists, and rebounds to earn championship game Most Valuable Player honors. Chris Mok and Colin Morrissey also played very well in the win. North Carolina was coached by Martin West.

Villanova was led by Bubba LeBlanc (League MVP and high scorer in regular season). Troy Larsen and Timmy LeBlanc had very good games for Villanova which was coached by Jack Schwartz.
