I began reading Amybeth Laroche’s campaign materials expecting the usual grab bag you get from most candidates — a little about taxes, a little about schools, and whatever poll‑tested phrase happens to be popular that month. None of it usually hangs together. That’s not what I found at all.

What stood out most was that Amybeth keeps returning to the same essential question, no matter the issue: “Forget what a law or program is supposed to do — what does it actually do once it’s out in the real world?” Whether she’s talking about eliminating the car tax, evaluating the 8‑30g housing law, or examining the use of Flock cameras that scan license plates, she asks the same thing every time: Does this work the way they said it would? Is it helping residents, or is it just generating revenue?

Her consistency, her clear-eyed analysis, and her genuine concern for the people she hopes to represent are exactly why I value her candidacy.

Most candidates simply pick a side on whatever is in the news that week and call it a platform. Amybeth Laroche approaches every issue by examining its real‑world impact. She doesn’t get lost in abstract talking points; she focuses on how decisions shape people’s daily lives. Her perspective is grounded, practical, and authentic — a reflection of who she is, not a performance.

As a mom, I teach my teens to analyze the situations they encounter, and they’ve come to see Amybeth as a role model for how to examine issues with clarity and actionable insight. I’ve started adding a new phrase to describe her: Actionable, Authentic, and Astute — Amybeth.
