To The Editor:

I support Michelle Ku for State Representation not only because she is an extremely strong and experienced candidate, Chair of the Board of Education, Board of Selectman, Legislative Council, as well as State appointments, but because her opponent has done absolutely nothing in the General Assembly.

As a member of the minority party, Bolinsky has had no seat at the table to have an impact on the important issues of our times. And when important issues have come up in bills, he failed to vote for the interests of the people of Newtown. Unbelievably, he voted against the 2013 bonding package that contained the funding used for the Sandy Hook Elementary School, Senate Bill No. 842 (2013), Public Act 13-239.

Michelle Ku believes, like most Connecticut people, in gun safety mandates like background checks. 70% of all gun owners agree with background checks. But Mitch Bolinsky voted against 2026 HB 5043 that would have prohibited the manufacture and sale of convertible pistols!

Finally, the most dangerous place in Connecticut is between a camera and Mitch Bolinsky. Michelle Ku will not be an attention hog. She may not be in front of the camera at every new business opening; she’ll be in the Hartford State House fighting for You! Ku is for You!

Ku is concerned about kitchen issues, food, gas, and the cost of living … not using our hard earned tax dollars to support billionaire tax cuts. Bolinsky is silent about the administration’s policies that have strained our budgets, while enriching the rich. He has voted against what Newtown needs, while keeping silent about MAGA pedophiles.
