Occupation: I am the director of operations and outreach for NewArts and the 12/14 Foundation. I am also a local musician.

Family: I live here in Newtown with my wife Erin, who was born and raised here, and our two amazing children: Dylan, who is 8, and Maya, who is 5.

Pets: We have an awesome 1-year-old Great Pyrenees/Lab pup named Kai. He keeps us busy, but he’s a lover!

How long have you lived in Newtown? We bought our home here just over two years ago. Before that, we lived with my wife’s parent’s here in Newtown for 10 months. Even before that, I had been visiting and spending much of my life here over the last 15 years.

What do you like to do in your free time? I love music! If I can’t be playing it myself somewhere, I love to see all the live music that I can. I am also a huge baseball fan. I coach my son and love to play and watch. (Let’s go Mets!) I also enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, great movies, theater, and being outdoors.

What is your favorite book? I always say The Bad Guys Won by Jeff Pearlman, a New York Times best seller. Recently I have been reading the Harry Potter series for the first time with my son and I am really enjoying it! I also feel Shel Silverstein and Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson are timeless.

What is your favorite travel destination? This is hard. I would say it’s a toss-up between Block Island, R.I., or Charleston, S.C.

What is the best part about Newtown? So many things! I would have to say a mix of both the great community and the things to do. I feel blessed to be raising my family in such a great place with so much to offer.

What organizations are you part of in Newtown? I am a director of a fantastic nonprofit here in Newtown, NewArts. I also am involved in Newtown youth baseball. I love working where I live.

What has been the greatest influence in your life? Music has always been my greatest influence. It helps me in every facet of my life and is such a big part of who I am.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? My grandfather, Robert Tulloch. He was an amazing man who helped raise me, and I so wish my children had a chance to spend even a day with him.

Who is your favorite musical artist? Once again, very hard. I can narrow it down to Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, or The Beatles. Sorry, one is impossible!

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? “The saddest thing in life is wasted talent, and the choices you make will shape your life forever,” from A Bronx Tale.

What is something you cannot live without? My family. Also, coffee.

What is your proudest accomplishment? Being a dad and always following my dreams!
