Walk-In Medical Center

Opens In Monroe

MONROE — St Vincent’s Medical Center has opened an immediate health care center at 401 Monroe Turnpike (across from McDonald’s) in the Village Square shopping center.

The Monroe location is the fourth site to open as part of the St Vincent’s immediate health care centers, which include walk-ins in Bridgeport, Fairfield, and Shelton. The centers are designed to provide care and treatment of most non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses.

Syed Hussain MD, medical director of the St Vincent’s Immediate Health Care Centers, said that in addition to treating common injuries and illnesses and offering flu shots, meningitis vaccines, and immunizations, the centers perform corporate, school, and sports physical exams. Occupational medicine and physical therapy services are also available.

The new walk-in center is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 7:30 pm, from 9 am to 7 pm on Saturdays and from 9 am to 5 pm on Sundays. No appointments are needed, and most health insurance and credit cards are accepted. For more information, call Kathy Ventura, RN, center supervisor, at 268-2501.
