Please watch the fourth forum on Fairfield Hills Monday, 7 pm, October 5, streaming live on The Newtown Bee’s Facebook page. With all the, shall I say excitement, over the presidential election, many may have missed that there is a very important referendum question on the Newtown ballot.

Whether housing should be an allowed use of up to two existing Fairfield Hills buildings is a pivotal question. Four forums were set to inform and hear from voters. Coronavirus forced a rescheduling of the fourth forum. This fourth forum will have developers who have shown an interest in investing in Fairfield Hills and Newtown. Like many referendum questions, it’s simple, but complex. A No vote has long term financial and community ramifications. Be an educated voter.
