To the Editor:

Mitch Bolinsky has my vote for State Representative on November 4th.

The 2014 CT General Assembly regular session ran from February to May this year. But legislating is only part of the job for Mitch. On a daily basis, Mitch continues to work with and for his constituents, solving problems and getting results.

With discretion, privacy and respect, Mitch navigates a number of State bureaucracies to do right by every person who’s hit a road block or needs direction to find needed resources that otherwise, may have been denied without the benefit of full consideration or a caring ear. During any given week, a handful of neighbors in need seek Mitch’s assistance with issues ranging from veterans benefits to foreclosure protection, quality of life issues to insurance claims, unemployment to heating assistance and more.

Mitch has served Newtown youth, families, individuals and businesses for 14 years. Usually, he’s too humble and sensitive to the privacy of others to tout his efforts, but as your State Representative, I know him to be a true advocate for Newtown.

As your State Rep, he does so much more than “represent” us in Hartford, even though that’s the most visible part of the job. He’s also continually “going to bat” for individuals as well. I’m comfortable knowing Mitch’s love for our community serves us here at home and his nearly 30-years of private-sector business experience is serving our interests at the State Capitol.

Experience has taught him to listen with an open mind and respect to the voices of Newtown over political ideologies.

Experience means he’s up to the challenge of addressing the tough issues we face as a Town and State.

Re-elect Mitch Bolinsky for Newtown State Representative. We need his experience and strength in Hartford.

Joe Girgasky
