To The Editor:

It's a shame when voters are given intentionally misleading communications. Last week Republican Steve Goodridge, Vice-Chair of the Board of Finance, said Rob Blanchard has just moved here, while Amybeth LaRoche has been here for “years”.

Fact: Rob Blanchard has lived in the 28th Senate District for four years! Amybeth has lived in it for only two years. Unlike Amybeth, Rob’s family has deep roots in the district as his wife, her parents and grandparents all are from the 28th State Senate District. Now who’s the carpetbagger, Steve?

Even more puzzling, AmyBeth is still a registered voter in New York and when given the chance to vote against Rob or Tony Hwang in 2024, she skipped voting in Newtown and voted in New York. This is the first state election she’s participating in.

As an elected official Steve Goodrich should be ashamed of himself for such misinformation. He also neglected to include that Rob has a decade of experience in state and local government. He won’t have to play catch up; he’ll be ready to advocate for the residents of the 28th district from day 1.

Amybeth has served only 9 months on the Board of Finance, which has a learning curve of about 2 years. She has no other governing experience.

We need facts, not distortions and propaganda. Please vote November 3rd, and vote for the Senate candidate who has the knowledge and experience to represent us. That’s Rob Blanchard.
