Published by the Council for the Advancement of Education (CASE), the guide provides an overview of ways donors can make contributions, noting the tax implications of each model, and describes giving opportunities and provides in-depth information about specific educational institutions. The guide includes an appendix designed to help financial advisors match clients’ interests with specific causes to help them find institutions or programs they might wish to support. The colleges, universities, and schools profiled represent a wide array of institutional types, sizes, and specialties, and are funded both publicly and privately.

CASE is the largest international association of education institutions, with nearly 2,900 colleges, universities, and independent elementary and secondary schools as members. Representing these institutions are advancement professionals in the disciplines of alumni relations, communications, and fund raising.
