To the Editor:

My name is Michelle Garrity, a Middle Gate and NMS parent, and I endorse Rebekah Harriman-Stites for the Board of Education. I have had the pleasure of working with Rebekah on various committees on the PTA the past couple of years. I have been at MGS for the past nine years and have never seen a PTA president quite like her. If there was a job to get done, she got it done. If there was money to be raised, she found a way.

Rebekah brings to the table her expertise and knowledge of grant writing, which is a huge asset when looking for extra funding for special programs.

As PTA president, Rebekah through her constant fundraising efforts was able to offer stem programs at MGS funded through the PTA. We have had movie nights, special programs, fundraising dinner nights throughout town, and the list goes on. All of this because of one woman who had a vision for a school. If this is what she did for a school, I could only imagine what she will do when on the Board of Education.
