Marjorie Spano

Marjorie Spano died at the Danbury Hospital on September 27, at the age of 92. She was the widow of the late Patsy Spano and had lived on Beckerle Street in Danbury.

Mrs Spano was born April 5, 1911, daughter of the late Pasqual and Carmela (Mazza) Baldasare. She attended Danbury Schools and was last employed as an assembler for Capitol Machine Co. in Danbury.

Mrs Spano is survived by her sisters Genevieve Talarico of Newtown and Theresa Waterman of Danbury; her brother Michael Baldasare of Danbury; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Elbert Baldasare and sister Rose Heaton.

Mrs Spano was a talented artist and especially enjoyed working in pen and ink drawings. A well-known cook, she and her husband entertained their many friends and family at their home. She also played the piano and shared her musical talent by playing classic pieces.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on October 1, at St Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial took place in St Peter Cemetery.
