To the Editor:

If you’re one of the few Newtowners who do not yet know longtime resident Neil Chaudhary, you ought to meet him. Neil, or Dr Chaudhary, as his professional colleagues know him, is the “real deal”; a caring, kind person with a smile that is so warm, it lights-up a room. As you get to know Neil; you’ll see there’s a lot to like.

Neil is running to serve Newtown as a member of the Police Commission, our town’s Traffic and Public Safety authority. Personally and professionally, he’s uniquely qualified.

Personally, I’ve known Neil and his amazing wife, Jennifer, for ten years. They are local dynamos and immersed in our community. They have a long history of volunteering their energies and talents to our town, through numerous boards and commissions. Along with their young son and daughter, the Chaudharys are also “consummate Newtowners,” participating and organizing local family-oriented events and benefits.

Professionally, Neil is recognized in Connecticut and nationally as a “go-to” person for public-safety matters. As a principal of The Preusser Group, his passion and insights have been guiding state and federal efforts to save lives for more than ten years.

Neil is also an asset to me and other members of Newtown’s State Delegation. In my position as a lawmaker and Newtown’s State Rep, I regularly rely on his trend-sighting research to build and support life-saving legislative concepts. He’s respected, trusted, and influential when it comes to public and traffic safety.

Neil’s a professional with a considerate, personal side. He’s fair, reasonable, and an outstanding choice for Police Commission.

Please, get to know Neil Chaudhary. Whether around town or at one of our town’s “meet the candidates events,” you’ll be happy you did and understand why he should have your vote for Police Commission. He has mine.

Written Personally,

Mitch Bolinsky
