Keys Found

A set of keys was turned in to Newtown Police Department on September 9, after being found on Dodgingtown Road in the area of Karen Boulevard. The key ring contains a small Honda key and other unidentifiable silver keys, on a white lanyard with red lettering saying Full Send.

The owner, or anyone with further information, is asked to contact the police department at 203-426-5841.

Unsafe Backing

A 2016 GMC Yukon Denali operated by Lori Ann Levine, 60, of Bethel, was backing out of the driveway from 23 Merlins Lane around 7:08 pm Tuesday, September 22, when the vehicle crossed both lanes and struck the rock wall at 22 Merlins Lane, causing extensive damage. The vehicle had two additional passengers, both minors, in it at the time of the incident.

The Denali then left the scene.

The incident was called in by the homeowners at 22 Merlins Lane.

Levine was contacted by police and returned to the scene. When asked why she left she stated she did not know what to do.

There were no injuries reported.

Levine was issued a verbal warning for unsafe backing.
