Sandra Ellen (Coggins)        Budlowski

Kind And Loving Soul

Sandra Ellen (Coggins) Budlowski, 68, of Sandy Hook, died September 27, in Danbury Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Mrs Budlowski was born in Carbondale, Penn., on October 13, 1937, a daughter of James and Marion (Wilson) Coggins. She moved to Connecticut in her early twenties and met the man she would marry, Stanley Paul Budlowski. They made their home in Newtown and were married for more than 37 years.

In the early 1970s Mr and Mrs Budlowski owned and operated the Bridge Package Store in Shelton. Also for many years, Mrs Budlowski and her family were a foster care home for children from the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Youth Services. She also worked in the food service department of the Newtown School System and prior to her retirement, was employed by Prolume of Monroe. Mrs Budlowski was a communicant of St Jude Church in Monroe.

She enjoyed reading and caring for animals. She had a kind and loving soul and will be missed by all who knew her.

Her daughter Jennifer Robson and her husband, Robert, of Sandy Hook; a sister Marion Cerra of Carbondale, Penn., and several nieces and nephews survive her. Mrs Budlowski was predeceased by her husband.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held at 10 am, Saturday, October 7, in St Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), Monroe. Cremation will be private.

There are no calling hours. Arrangements in care of the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
