On Saturday, October 22, C.H. Booth Library will host an open forum discussion titled "Issues Facing America."

The moderator of the program is Arthur Meyers, retired director of Russell Library in Middletown and the author of Democracy in the Making: The Open Forum Lecture Movement, the first study of a groundbreaking public lecture series that began in 1908.

Mr Meyers has extensive experience as a discussion facilitator through his work with the National Issues Forums and the National Institute for Civil Discourse, whose #ReviveCivility initiative encourages the restoration of civility in public discourse, dedicated to the idea that "we can disagree without being disagreeable, and we can respectfully share different opinions."

The event will take place from 2 to 3:30 pm in the library's Meeting Room. Registration is not required.

For more information, visit chboothlibrary.org or call the library at 203-426-8552.
