Heart Disease In Women

More than a dozen of southern Connecticut’s leading cardiac experts will take part in one of the region’s most extensive conferences on heart disease in women on Friday, October 29, from 9 am to 3 pm, at the Marriott Hotel, 180 Hawley Lane, Trumbull.

“Messages From the Heart: A Women’s Heart Advantage Conference” is sponsored jointly by Bridgeport Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, and Yale-New Haven Hospital. Tickets are $50 and include a heart-healthy lunch.

Topics at the conference include life after a heart attack; advances in hormone replacement therapy; the top ten risk factors for heart disease in women; barriers women encounter when seeking help; integrative medicine and heart disease; and living a heart-healthy lifestyle. The keynote speaker will be TV journalist Diane Smith.
