As is occasionally the case, the best of intentions to produce a webcast involving multiple platforms and applications sometimes goes awry.

This was the situation on Tuesday, October 20, when at 2:30, a planned Facebook Live event presenting “Alternate Perspectives” on the Fairfield Hills mixed-use/residential question facing local voters failed to transmit between the Zoom meeting platform and The Newtown Bee’s Facebook site.

After a successful test a short time before the intended live session, and two attempts to launch, the Facebook option was dismissed. The event was captured, however, and is now available for viewing below, or by connecting to The Newtown Bee’s YouTube channel.

For those who prefer, a recap of the conversations among participants Pat Llodra, Robert Geckle, Kelley Johnson, James O. Gaston, and Bruce Walczak — all former town officials — will appear in the October 23 print edition, and at newtownbee.com.
