To the Editor:

Dr Carol Walsh is running for Legislative Council in District 3, and Newtown will be lucky to have her. Carol is hardworking, smart, dynamic, and down to earth. Carol’s background in industry taught her how to manage multimillion dollar budgets responsibly and efficiently. It also taught her how to communicate effectively, to listen to and integrate all different points of view, and to move forward to the best action plan.

Carol and her family chose to live in Newtown because of the great schools and the family-focused community. She understands that these are the same reasons why other people choose Newtown: community matters. Carol will continue to be a strong advocate for excellent schools. She will also advocate for responsible, sustainable development to help Newtown grow while maintaining the natural beauty and the strong sense of community. In her previous service on the Board of Finance, Carol brought a commitment to making sure that our tax dollars are used responsibly, which she will also bring to the Legislative Council.

Carol Walsh is a great candidate who is committed to the future of our community, strong schools, responsible budgeting, and sustainable development. She will represent all of the residents of Newtown’s District 3. On November 5, vote for Carol Walsh for Newtown’s Legislative Council.
