We have had the pleasure of working with Ned Simpson for the past six months on the Newtown Building Inventory & Planning Work Group with the goal of gathering and logging data on existing Newtown Public buildings. The work group’s purpose is to assist with the planning for future Capital Investment Plans. This dataset will aid in the decision-making process by many town bodies, including the Board of Finance. Ned has continually proven himself as a motivated and organized leader who is inspired to do his best for our town. Ned continues to ask questions that encourage discussions that lead to new ideas to make our town better.

We believe that Ned Simpon’s leadership skills and long-term vision are indispensable for the Board of Finance. In addition, Ned possesses hands-on skills and approaches that have enabled him to serve the town in various roles and, most recently, to create, guide, and lead the Newtown Building Inventory & Planning Work Group. Therefore, as a true leader, thinker, and doer, we recommend Ned Simpson for the Board of Finance. This letter is written by several members of the Newtown Building Inventory & Planning Work Group but does not represent an official action of the Newtown Building Inventory & Planning Work Group.
