To the Editor:

Two years ago when I heard that Michelle McCabe would be running for a state senate seat, I reached out to her and offered to connect her with a scientist friend of mine so he could inform her on environmental issues. Despite the fact that we had never met, she showed up at my house ready to listen. She listened, took notes and asked good questions. She followed up that night by reading books, talking to more people, going to events and basically doing everything possible to get extremely informed on the environmental issues that are threatening Connecticut’s future.

We are now friends and she has been back to my house several times to talk to more people about environmental issues. She has listened to concerns and ideas from people from many different walks of life. With her remarkable energy, she has come up with creative ideas that could really make a difference.

She has been endorsed by the Sierra Club, and that is quite an accomplishment! Go Michelle!

I and many of my environmentalist friends are really looking forward to having Michelle McCabe in Hartford fighting for the issues that are so important to us. The environment is important to all of us and our kids deserve a clean and livable planet.

Join me in voting for an environmental champion. Someone who won’t just vote for a clean environment, but someone who will come up with solutions that will benefit all of us. Someone who will reach across the aisle and get things done!
