Vote Your Conscience

To the Editor:

As a practicing Catholic I strongly object to my church urging me to cast my vote for president on the one issue of abortion.

I do not condone abortion, but I am not my neighbor’s judge. I leave that to God. There are too many other issues to be considered — this war in Iraq killing our young people, the economy, fiscal responsibility, joblessness, terrorism — do you really feel safe, millions without health care, and seniors having to go to Canada for the medicines we can’t afford in our own country.

You vote your conscience but please consider all the issues.
