*Hartford Civic Center has been fairly quiet lately but all that is about to change in a big way. Tickets will be going on sale Saturday, November 4, at 10 am, for a December 9 concert by LIMP BIZKIT, GODSMACK, DMX and SINNISTAR. All seats are $42.50. Showtime is 7 pm. Civic Center tickets are available through any TicketMaster outlet.

The SAMMY HAGAR show that was to be played on Halloween at The Webster was originally a postponement. Hagar’s publicists recently said that all of the shows that were postponed this week (the first six dates of the combination tour to celebrate the singer’s 53rd birthday and the release of Ten 13 have all been postponed for unspecified reasons) would all be made up. The concert is currently set to run through December 3, with the Red Rocker making his way towards San Francisco for that gig. An October 9 article from Pollstar says a second leg of dates, presumably to include a Hartford mention, is expected to be announced by the Hagar camp soon.

I don’t know if this means the show will not be coming to Hartford after all, but apparently the original tickets for October 31 will not be honored if it does. Return tickets for a full refund to the point of purchase.

PAT McGEE has replaced JOHN WESLEY HARDING WITH RADICAL GENERATION on next Friday’s show with FASTBALL. Tickets are still apparently available for that one.

Something called OZRIC TENTACLES has been added to The Webster’s calendar. The band will be in Hartford on November 16 for an all ages show. Another interesting addition is a November 19 show by KING CRIMSON — the club is specifying the usual “No Cameras, No Recorders” rule, but has also added “No Smoking.” That’s an all ages show. If you don’t care for Crimson, the Webster underground will also be open on the 19th, with a 21-and-over show by SISTER 7, WINE FIELD, POETIC PAN and DEEP. In December, DIO and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN will be at the club for an all ages show on Decembe 7; Doro opens that night. On December 8, Hartford Advocate will be sponsoring AFTER DARK, GREY CELL GREEN, MADHAT, THRONE and GAIAH, another all ages show.
