Gertrude Elizabeth Broas Miller

Gertrude Elizabeth Broas Miller, 88, of Milford, died peacefully, October 28, at Golden Hill Health Care, Milford. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of Leonard and Eleanor Cox Broas.

Survivors include her beloved children Leslie R. Miller and companion Arlene Williams of Newtown, Charles Miller and wife Monica of Gem, Kan., Keith Miller of Derby, Leonore Mucciacciaro and husband Frank of Orange, and Charlotte Christiana of Monroe. Her sister, Patricia Parisi; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive Mrs Miller. Her husband, Charles D. Miller, and a son, Ronald W. Miller, predeceased her.

Mrs Miller served her country proudly during World War II, in the US Navy as seaman first class. She was a retired telephone operator for SNET and Park City Hospital.

She enjoyed crafts, but most of all she loved her family.

Friends and relatives are invited to greet the family on Thursday evening, November 1, from 5 to 7:30 pm, in the Dennis & D’Arcy-Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford, followed by a funeral service at 7:30 pm, in the funeral home, with Deacon Raymond Chervenak officiating. Burial will take place in Lawncroft Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Victory Junction Camp, 4500 Adam’s Way, Randleman NC 27317.
