To the Parents and Residents of Newtown:

As a young parent navigating the journey of our own child as we make decisions about what is best for our children, I decided it was my duty to get involved with my beloved town and run for the Board of Education. As a product of Newtown, since 1991, relocating to Newtown with my young family was an easy decision as memories of my childhood and experience in the school system was what my wife and I felt would be best for our young family.

As parents, it is our duty to advocate for our children and demand we have the best resources as taxpayers to deliver solutions that our children need to be the best versions of themselves. I fully intend to do that for my child and for the children of Newtown. Newtown should be the envy of Conn. public schools and because of this we should have a surplus of teachers and families alike who want to be part of the best town in Conn.

On November 7th we have an opportunity to vote as a community to fill leadership seats on the town boards. I’m asking you to consider Brennan Coakley for the Board of Education simply because my intentions are grounded in a question that cannot be broken, are the decisions being made in the best interests of our children?

Thank you and I very much look forward to representing my town on the Board of Education.

Brennan Coakley

Newtown
