The Choose Love Book Club, a free virtual monthly book discussion where guests join together to connect, learn, and share insights after reading interesting and engaging books, has selected its guest author and book for this month’s program.

On Tuesday, November 23, Molly Hudgens will join the 7 pm Zoom program to discuss her book, Saving Sycamore: The School Shooting that Never Happened.

The memoir details the day in 2016 when Hudgens, a school counselor, stopped an armed 14-year-old young man from unleashing violence on Sycamore Middle School in Pleasant View, Tenn.

Saving Sycamore is Hudgens’s recounting of the best and worst day of her life and how faith, rapport with the young man, and a strong school community helped her triumph over adversity.

Guests on November 23 will hear Hudgens’s honest and thoughtful story of the days leading up to that day and how she found hope in the bleakest moment.

Registration is required for the program link. Visit chooselovemovement.org and click on Our Programs, then Book Club: Register To Join.
