Mr and Mrs David Andrew Cheney

Sheila Jane McCraith and David Andrew Cheney were married on January 3 at the historic King’s Chapel in Boston, Mass., with the Rev Patricia Brennan and the Rev Matthew Crebbin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Deane McCraith of Newton, Mass. The groom is the son of Walter and Sally Cheney of Sandy Hook.

A bagpiper welcomed guests to the ceremony and afterwards to the reception in honor of the bride’s and bridegroom’s Scottish heritage.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a simple strapless diamond white silk gown with beading at the waist and inverted box pleats in the skirt with a chapel-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white, cream, and light pink roses, stephanotis, and variegated greens.

Sara Pollock and Erica Kovacs, both of Massachusetts, were maids of honor. Yasmin Mang of California was matron of honor.

Stephanie Zari of California, Susan Duncombe of Massachusetts, and Kimberly Agar of New Jersey were bridesmaids.

The attendants wore deep raspberry chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of various shades of light pink roses mixed with dark pink winterberries and variegated greens.

Paul Connelie of New Jersey was best man. Groomsmen were Eric Adler of Colorado, Robert Burrough of New Jersey, Sal Crimi of New York, Tim Gourley of Pennsylvania, Andrew McCraith of California, Tim Smitreski of New Jersey, Chris Storms of New York, and Brian Woldow of Virginia.

The ushers were Marco Barbone of Massachusetts, Naomi Greenfield of Massachusetts, and Priya Uppal of New York.

Stella Montalvao of Massachusetts was the flower girl, and Michael Barbone of Massachusetts was ring bearer. Michele Barbone of Massachusetts was the acolyte.

A reception was held at the Parker House in Boston.

The bride graduated from Newton South High School and the Boston University School of Management. She is employed in marketing by M&Ms Chocolate Candies in New Jersey.

The groom graduated from Newtown High School and Lafayette College. He is employed in banking with JPMorgan Chase in New York City.

Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple is residing in Maplewood, N.J.
