BETHEL â Guiding Light Church will host seven spirit-filled nights of inspirational preaching and teaching on the word of God.

The Holy Ghost Power Fall of Fire Conference will meet nightly, Sunday, November 14, through Sunday, November 21, 6:30 to 9 pm.

âCome join us for seven spirit-filled nights of inspirational preaching and teaching on the Word of God,â encourages Pastor Ernestine Urquhart, a Newtown resident and pastor of the nondenominational Christian church. âCome for encouragement, healings, restoration, and miracles.â

Special guests will include the Reverend Dr Dericklin Parker from Weisbaden, Germany; the Reverend Tony Hart and Mass Choir from Beulah Baptist Church; S. Cortlandt Urquhart, Esq, and Blake A. Urquhart, MD., members of Treadwell Lewis Ministries, and other guests.

Guiding Light Church meets in the Scalzo Building, 2 Stony Hill Road in Bethel (opposite Target).

I say we vote it down again and see how creative they can get with the numbers.We all know plenty of fat is laced in the proposals.

I, too, love that flagpole. I approach it in the southbound lane, as Mr Gardner described, and it’s an inspiring way to start my day. In addition to all it stands for, it tells me something, whether it’s furling in the wind, or hanging quietly when weather is still, sometimes boldly majestic, sometimes sad or unsure. A gem like no other. I know it generates angst with traffic; approached with the appropriate level of caution, it should not be such a problem. Can’t really blame the flagpole, it doesn’t move. I hope it’s there long after I’m gone, and inspires others as well. Thank you Mr Gardner and all the other current, previous, and even future Keepers of the Flagpole.
