Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who was involved in an accident early Monday, November 5, which resulted in a power outage in the Parmalee Hill Road area.

Police said the driver, who they described as white man, about six feet tall and 50 years old, with blue eyes and eyeglasses, was driving a 2012 GMC Sierra pickup truck northward on Parmalee Hill Road about 12:37 am. The truck drove off the right side of the street near 14 Parmalee Hill Road and struck a utility pole, cracking it in half.

After the collision, the driver fled the scene on foot, police said. The incident caused a power outage in that area.

Police ask anyone who knows the identity of the man who was driving the truck to contact them at 203-426-5841. The truck is registered to a Newtown man.

At about 9:20 am, the town put out a Code Red non-emergency telephone call on the incident in seeking information.
