All Season Color In Your Garden

On Wednesday, November 18, The Town and Country Garden Club of Newtown will welcome Colleen Plimpton as their guest speaker at 7:30 pm at Newtown Senior Center.

Ms Plimpton (pictured) will be talking about “All Season Color in Your Garden.”  The program promises to be funny, informal and informative, as Ms Plimpton has promised to do a PowerPoint presentation that shows color in gardens from early March to early November.

Ms Plimpton trained at the New York Botanical Gardens and writes a weekly gardening column for The News-Times. Her magazine articles also have been featured in GreenPrints, The Litchfield Review and People, Places, and Plants.

Her first solo book, titled Mentors in the Garden of Life, will be published soon.

Ms Plimpton is a garden coach, writer, lecturer, and educator. She views every day as a challenge as well as an opportunity to learn more about the wonderful world of nature.

The program is free and open to the public.
