DeRoo Wins League Honors Following Championship Effort

HAMILTON, N.Y.—Colgate University sophomore Elise DeRoo, of Newtown, was named the Patriot League Female Runner of the Year following her first-place performance at the Patriot League Championship which was hosted by Colgate on October 31.

DeRoo brought home the individual title with a personal-best and school-record time of 22:01.7, to claim her third individual title of the season. DeRoo is Colgate’s third Patriot League champion in cross country and the first since 2007.
