Through December 29, The Flagpole Photographers Camera Club is presenting an exhibit of works by members at Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street. The building’s main hallway provides a beautiful gallery setting to showcase over 300 photographs.

The public is invited to join club members on Sunday, November 6, from 2 to 4 pm, for an opening reception.

This 12th Annual “Newtown & Beyond” exhibit offers many photos of Newtown, as well as photographs taken across the country and around the world. Most photos are available for purchase.

The club also invites readers to join the November competition meeting. The theme this month is “Food.” The Monthly Challenge theme is “Reflection.”

This will be virtual and in person at Newtown Senior Center, 8 Simpson Street, on Thursday, November 10, at 7:30 pm.

There is no charge to attend Flagpole Photographers Camera Club competitions.

Flagpole Photographers is a local nonprofit group that enables members to share their images and expertise, to learn and grow in their photography, and to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow photographers who come from diverse backgrounds, with photographic skills ranging from novices to professionals.

New members are always welcome to join, and can then enter their work in monthly club competitions, participate in workshops, take field trips, get involved in community programs, and take part in annual exhibits.

Dues are $35 per person or $55 for a family. Students may join at no charge. For payment information, please contact info@flagpolephotographers.com.

Additional club information, meeting dates, including calendar of events, member galleries, and workshop information can be found at flagpolephotographers.com.
