Florence R. Smith, 89, of Southbury, beloved wife of the late Raymond Smith, died peacefully at Pope John Paul II Health Care Center November 10. She was born in Lynn, Mass., daughter of Pearl (Wilson) and Julian Reed.

Her son Paul Smith, and wife Nancy, of Newtown, and her daughter Doris Moses of Southbury; her sister Phyllis Antonini of Milford; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Smith. Her sister Hazel Towne and brothers Charles and Henry Reed predeceased her.

Mrs Smith worked for more than 30 years at the Perkin Elmer Corporation of Norwalk. She had been a past member of the First Congregational Church of Danbury, Rebecca Lodge, and the Kyota Council.

Friends may call at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, Tuesday, November 12, from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will take place at the Green Funeral Home, Wednesday, November 13, at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
