Robert “Bob” William Belanger, 71, of Rochester, Vt., died Saturday morning, November 14, at The Pines at Rutland.

Bob was born March 13, 1949, in Lancaster, N.H., the son of Joseph and Aldea (Chaloux) Belanger. He was raised and attended schools in Newtown and graduated from Newtown High School. Bob married Anne Goodwin in Ridgefield in 1975. He had lived with his family in Newtown until 1996. He relocated with his family to Wilmington, N.C., until 2007. Bob and his family settled in Rochester, Vt., in 2007. Bob worked as a service technician for Culligan Water Conditioning.

Bob is survived by his wife, Anne; son, Eric Belanger, and his wife, Amanda, of Rochester, Vt.; daughter, Angela Tromba, and husband, Michael, of Cabot, Ark.; sister, Patricia Harvey, and her husband, David, of Rochester, Vt.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
