Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue is planning its annual Christmas Tree, Etc, Sale this holiday season.

Fresh-cut trees will be delivered to the firehouse at 18-20 Riverside Road early Friday, November 27, and sales will begin by noon, if not earlier. The trees come from a tree farm in northern Vermont and range from five feet tall to cathedral height.

The event will be staged in the back parking lot of the firehouse this year to allow for social distancing. Shoppers are asked to wear masks when they are on site. Firefighters will also be wearing face masks.

Sales will continue Thursday and Friday evenings, 6-9 pm (opening at 3 pm Fridays, December 11 and 18); and Saturdays and Sundays, 9 am-9 pm, through Christmas Eve or while supplies last.

The sale also offers cemetery/planter boxes, wreaths, pine roping, kissing balls, and other decorative items.

Cash, checks, and credit/debit cards (Discover, MasterCard, and Visa) are all accepted for payment.

Proceeds benefit the fire company, a 501(c)(3) organization.

For additional information call 203-270-4392 or visit sandyhookfire.com.

Santa stopped by the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue main station last year during the company’s annual Christmas Trees, Etc, Sale. The fundraiser is scheduled to return this month, beginning again the day after Thanksgiving. The sale will move into the back parking lot of the fire station to allow for social distancing and easier shopping. —Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue photo
