St Margaret’s-McTernan Undergoes Campus Improvements

WATERBURY — For the first time in over 27 years, St Margaret’s-McTernan School will embark on an exciting plan to renovate its campus.

The 14,400 square foot Lower School expansion project features a cornerstone octagonal-shaped gathering room with several floor to ceiling windows that provide spectacular views of the pond.

The Lower School will have its own art center and technology and multimedia center specifically designed for younger children. A courtyard style recreational area located in the center of the U-shaped building will feature state-of-the-art playground equipment. In addition to building new classrooms, the existing classrooms will be enlarged to allow fourth and fifth grade students, currently housed in the Middle School, to join the Lower School.
