Kenneth Onofrey and Melissa Thompson

Announcement is made of the engagement between Kenneth M. Onofrey and Melissa A. Thompson. A September 2007 wedding is being planned.

Her parents are Diane Thompson and Chip Carpenter of Sandy Hook and Robert and Carolyn Thompson of Darnestown, Md. He is the son of Ken and Maribeth Onofrey of Sandy Hook.

Both are graduates of Newtown High School; she graduated in 2000, and he graduated in 1999.

Ms Thompson is also a graduate of University of Connecticut. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2004. She currently lives in Boston and is an infant teacher at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Mr Onofrey, who also lives in Boston, graduated from UConn in 2003, also having earned a bachelor’s degree. He is a records analyst for Iron Mountain.
