Occupation: I am the assistant company manager at Long Wharf Theater in New Haven, and I am a volunteer with the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps. I am the secretary/treasurer there.

Family: My mom, Linda, and my dad, Roger, Sr. I have two little sisters, Eileen, who is 20, and Sarah. Sarah is 13 years old.

Pets: I have a cat that lives with my parents right now. Her name is Minnie. She was abandoned at the ambulance garage last year and I took her in.

How long have you been in Newtown? My entire life, for 25 years.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like to read, plays in particular. I like to go hiking and I ski. Near Kent Falls and the whole northeast Connecticut area is really nice for hiking.

Do you have a favorite play and actor? Neil Simon’s Rumors is one of my favorite plays. I like the strong relationships between characters. I like Robert DeNiro as an actor. He’s actually done a lot of stage stuff, a lot of Shakespeare. Dustin Hoffman is good, too. I liked him a lot in The Merchant of Venice.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? Disney World in Florida. I’m a kid a heart. I’ve been there five times. My favorite part is the Journey Into the Imagination With Figment ride in Epcot Center.

What is the best thing about Newtown? There are a lot of families that are deep-rooted here. You can trace generation upon generation here and it gives it a real hometown feel. Newtown is huge, landwise, but it feels small enough that you know everyone.

Do you have a hero? My grandfather, who has passed away. He was a Connecticut state trooper for over 35 years. He started a lot of state programs with the state police, like the Western Crime Division. He was absolutely a great family man. He would do anything for anyone and he would try 125 percent to help you out.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Two, actually. The first is to treat others as you want to be treated, and the second is Carpe Diem — seize the day.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years? I plan to still be working in the theater. I’d like to have a family of my own and still be living life to the fullest and enjoying my life.
