The Garden Club of Newtown will be holding its annual Holiday Greens Sale at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street (at the flagpole) on Saturday, December 3. The sale, an annual event that is the club's major fundraiser, will open at 9 am and close at noon.

Every year, beautiful individually decorated wreaths and tabletop centerpieces are arranged throughout the historic meetinghouse and help infuse the holiday spirit in all who attend.

This year, the greenery will share honors with Newtown's notable garden writer, Sydney Eddison. Mrs Eddison, an accomplished drama teacher and author, will be present with her two most recent works, Where We Walk, published in 2015, and Fragments of Time, 2016. Both books will be available for purchase, and Mrs Eddison will also autograph copies for those who wish for one.

New this year will be wooden stars and kissing balls available for purchase.

The greens sale will be inside the meetinghouse, so it will take place rain or shine.
