A Golden Anniversary

George and Mabel Phillips celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a party given by their children on November 6.

George Phillips of Trumbull and Mabel Burr of Newtown were married Thanksgiving day, November 24, 1960, in the chapel of Newtown Congregational Church. They have lived in Newtown their entire married life.

The couple has two children, Gary Phillips and his wife MaryAnn of Southbury and Diane Doling and her husband Robert of Danbury. They have also enjoyed life with their grandchildren Justin Phillips and his wife, Ashley, Kimberly Carlson, and Kayleigh, Carli, and Taylor Phillips.

The Phillipses plan to travel to Las Vegas in this month for an additional party with family and friends.
