Sigma Alpha Lambda announced recently Rachel L. Bolinsky, a 2008 Newtown High School graduate and daughter of Luisa and Mitch Bolinsky, became a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, National Leadership and Honors Organization at the University of Connecticut, Storrs. Sigma Alpha Lambda is a national leadership and honors organization dedicated to promoting and rewarding academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service, personal development, and lifelong professional fulfillment.
Joseph C. Rahtelli of Sandy Hook was inducted into both the Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for the Association To Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business, and Beta Alpha Psi, the National Honor Society for financial information professionals. Joseph is a senior at Marist College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., with a double major in finance and accounting. He is currently serving as Beta Alpha Psi Honor Society president.
Cristin Carlin was inducted into Ithaca Collegeâs Oracle Honor Society, Ithaca, N.Y., in November. The fall ceremony honors students who have completed their first semester ranked in the top five percent of their academic schools. Cristin is an anthropology major in the collegeâs School of Humanities & Sciences.
