Local curator Rosemary Rau would like readers to know of two special events taking place within the next week.

A pop-up show featuring works by five members of The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will be presented at Barnwood Grill, 5 Queen Street, December 3-6.

The show will offer works by Suzanne Molineaux, Adele Moros, Dominick Tomanelli, Dorothy Wilson, and Lisa Willvonseder- Greto.

Then on Monday, December 8, Mrs Rau and Avancé Esthétiques Day Spa owner Melanie Allen will co-host Gentlemen’s Evening of Holiday Shopping for Her. The special event will run from 5:30 until 7:30 at the day spa, located in the northern section of Sand Hill Plaza, 228 South Main Street.

It is a special event being offered as part of the current exhibition “Holiday Arts Show,” which features jewelry by Justine Aspinwall, traditional watercolors by DeAnn L. Prosia, and mosaic glass art by Heidrun Morgan.

Men are invited to view the exhibition, enjoy refreshments including beer, wine and wedges, and pick up gift ideas with the help of a personal shopper. Gift wrapping will also be available.
