After performing during a school assembly on Monday, December 1, Hawley Elementary School third and fourth grade students ventured to Reed Intermediate School on Tuesday, December 2, for their final rehearsal before the school’s December 3 concert for friends and family.

“My goal was to create a fun, upbeat, and warming winter concert that blended traditional winter songs with some new ones,” said Hawley music teacher Brian Kowalsky on Tuesday.

The songs sung by the third and fourth grade, sometimes in turn and sometimes together, were “Winter is Coming,” “Rocky Mountain,” “A Million Little Snowflakes,” “Let it Snow,” “Winter Wonderland,” “In Summer,” “Hot Chocolate,” and “Snow Day.”

Middle Gate Elementary School music teacher Tina Jones accompanied the students on piano for the performances on Monday and Wednesday.

“The chorus was fantastic,” said Mr Kowalsky about their performance on Monday for the school assembly. “I was very proud of their effort and enthusiasm.”
