Society Chamber Singers

BROOKFIELD — The Chamber Singers, an a cappella group of 20 from Connecticut Choral Society, will perform on Sunday, December 7, at 3 pm, at The Brookfield Library, 182 Whisconier Road.

Formed in 1988, the Chamber Singers perform music in a variety of styles, including madrigals, spirituals, folk songs and popular and seasonal favorites. Under the direction of Bonnie Stephens, the group has performed extensively in local settings.

Among their selections for this concert will be holiday music both familiar and unusual – including carols from Spain, France and a West Indian spiritual.

The program is part of the library’s “Afternoons at the Arbor” concert series. Admission is free and a reception, sponsored by The Friends of The Brookfield Library, will follow the concert.
