Fraser-Woods School Annual Food Drive
The eighth year Leadership Class from the Fraser-Woods School filled its bus with food for the Women Involved In Newtownâs annual Thanksgiving Basket Program. More than 60 families, which were identified by Newtownâs Social Services, received approximately 10â12 pounds of food and nonfood items to help them through the holiday season. A wide range of nonperishable food, gift cards, frozen turkeys, and pet food was donated by The Fraser-Woods School families
The focus of the eighth year Leadership Class is to learn the importance of giving back to the community. Over the course of the studentsâ last year at The Fraser-Woods School, eighth year students participate in a variety of charitable activities geared toward helping those in need, both locally and globally.
